Label Scanning

This article outlines how to use an iOS devices camera to take photos of equipment labels and record the data as attributes.

In the equipment list, there is Tag button in the search field that can be used as a shortcut to scan a nameplate or label and pull up the corresponding equipment.

When answering a checklist or test line with a linked attribute, press the Label button to the top right. Take a picture of the label, and the text will automatically be scanned and highlighted in blue. Press the highlighted text to use as the attribute value and save. The picture can be reused to record different values for other attribute lines within the same checklist or test.
