Uploading a document to the Documents section
To upload documents to the list in the Documents section, find and click the "Upload" button. Here you can select one or more multiple files to upload.
There is a 100mb size limit per file. The following formats are supported:
Images: .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif, .tiff, .tif, .mpp, .odg
Documents: .txt, .csv, .rtf, .pdf, .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .pages, .numbers, .odt, .ods, .dwg, .dwf, .dws, .dwt, .dxf
Presentations: .ppt, .pptx, .pps, .keynote, .odp
Audio: .wav, .mp3
Video: .mov, .avi, .mp4, .wmv, .mpg, .mpeg
There is no file versioning, so uploading a document with the same name as another document will result in two identically named documents. This will not cause an issue for the system, but may cause an issue for the user since it will be hard to differentiate the two documents.
Before you upload your files, you may cancel the selection at any time by clicking the "X" in the box of the fie name. The upload will not start until you press Save. Click Save to upload the documents.
Multiple documents may be uploaded at once. To do this, you may shift select (press the Shift key + select with the mouse) during the file selection to add a group of files for upload. It is also possible to separately select documents by using (Control for PC, Command for Mac) + select with the mouse, since shift selecting will select everything between two documents in your file directory.
The ability to upload multiple files at once requires that Flash is installed, but if you don’t have Flash a fallback HTML up-loader is provided, but it only allows uploading one file at a time.
