Procore Troubleshooting

In this article

Common Problems

Prior to enabling the Procore integration in a CxAlloy project, the CxAlloy App must be installed in the corresponding Procore account. As part of the installation process, a proxy user is created to carry out the necessary actions in Procore. If the Procore integration generates an error, it is generally caused by one of the following:

  • Cause: The CxAlloy App isn’t installed in Procore
    • Fix: Install the CxAlloy App from the Procore app marketplace
  • Cause: The proxy user created by the app was deleted
    • Fix: Uninstall and reinstall the CxAlloy App
  • Cause: The proxy user created by the app had their permissions modified
    • Fix: Uninstall and reinstall the CxAlloy App

If a problem is encountered that doesn't appear to meet any of the above criteria, reach out to support@cxalloy.com for assistance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Is it possible to have two different CxAlloy projects integrate with one Procore project?

Response: Multiple CxAlloy projects can be integrated with the same Procore project, with each CxAlloy project separately tracking the Procore observations it creates. However, the “proxy assets” under the “Locations” tree in Procore will be shared and managed by all of the linked CxAlloy projects.

Question: Can items synced from CxAlloy to Procore be marked as 'Private'?

Response: The integration does not have the capability to privately mark synced items.

Question: Can checklists from CxAlloy be synced to Procore?

Response: The integration currently only supports the syncing of issues in CxAlloy as observations in Procore.

Question: Is there a way to prevent unauthorized users from closing issues?

Response: The permission restrictions in CxAlloy cannot be applied in Procore, and there is currently no "Ignore" option for status mapping.

Question: If I encounter a Procore Integration error that requires reconfiguring the integration, will disabling and re-enabling it create duplicate observations or break the connection between the CxAlloy issues and Procore observations?

Response: Procore observations that have already been synced will be unaffected. During the configuration process, you have the option to sync older observations or not.
