Enabling "If Assigned"
- From the Account Settings page, switch to the Features tab and "If Assigned Permissions" can be found under the "Access and Permission Overrides" section
- Check the Enabled option to turn this feature flag on for all projects in the account
Click the Manage Projects button to selectively override the account level setting on individual projects
Alternatively, the feature flag can be enabled for individual projects from the Project Setting's Features tab
"If Assigned" Permissions
Once the "If Assigned Permissions" feature is enabled, new options will appear when inviting or editing a user that restricts them to only see items they are assigned for a given section.
User Point-of-View
In this example project, there are 5 Design Issues, 1 Construction Issue, 5 Checklists, and 3 Tests.
After enabling the feature flag and restricting the user to only see items they've been assigned to, the same project shows no issues, 1 Checklist, and 1 Test.
For restricted section, only the "My..." option will appear from the project navbar. When a user navigates to an applicable section, a banner appears over the list view explaining that results are being automatically filtered by assignment to them, their role, or their company. These filters cannot be removed by the restricted user.
